Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Oversee project lifecycle from conceptualization through construction administration
- Perform hydraulic modeling and geotechnical analysis using industry-standard software
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies (TxDOT, FEMA, USACE) for permitting compliance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews of technical deliverables
- Develop cost estimates and construction schedules for multimillion-dollar projects
- Integrate sustainable design principles (LEED, Envision) into project specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE license in Texas
- 8+ years of experience in land development or transportation engineering
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, CivilStorm, and GIS mapping tools
- Proven track record managing projects over $5M in construction value
- Familiarity with TxDOT design standards and local municipal regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for client reporting
- Professional Engineering (PE) license required
- Experience with sustainable infrastructure and resilient design practices
