Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and utility systems
- Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure project milestones and quality standards
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments
- Develop cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation plans for complex projects
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including TCEQ and FHWA standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of design documents
- Implement sustainable design practices and BIM technologies to optimize project efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS software
- Demonstrated experience managing projects with budgets exceeding $10M
- Strong knowledge of Houston's municipal permitting processes and TxDOT requirements
- Certification in sustainable infrastructure design (LEED AP or equivalent preferred)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
