Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight of complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Develop innovative solutions for flood control and stormwater management in coastal environments
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using BIM/CAD technologies
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and structural feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and local municipal engineering standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of technical documentation
- Coordinate with environmental specialists and regulatory agencies for permitting
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated success leading infrastructure projects >$10M
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and local permitting processes
- Certification in LEED or sustainable infrastructure practices
- Excellent written communication skills for technical reports and proposals
