Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Manage project lifecycles from concept through completion, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Develop cost-effective solutions using advanced software like AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM modeling tools
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and government agencies
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new developments
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and construction documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and foster continuous innovation in sustainable design practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, GIS)
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget ($5M+ projects)
- Strong understanding of TxDOT standards, FEMA regulations, and local permitting processes
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with focus on sustainable and resilient infrastructure solutions
- Excellent communication abilities for client presentations and stakeholder coordination
