Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for multi-disciplinary teams
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations (TxDOT, FEMA)
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new development projects
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external stakeholders (contractors, clients)
- Develop detailed engineering reports and construction documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in CAD/BIM software and structural analysis tools
- Proven track record of managing projects >$10M value
- Strong understanding of TxDOT standards and permitting processes
- Excellent project management and client communication skills
- Experience with sustainable design practices (LEED certification a plus)
