Responsibilities
- Oversee design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, transit systems, urban developments)
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, and environmental specialists
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (IDOT, OSHA, ADA)
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Develop detailed construction documents and specifications using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and stakeholder communications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews of deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM modeling
- Demonstrated experience with complex infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities
