Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and urban transit systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and regulatory compliance with local and federal standards
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
- Develop innovative solutions for complex geotechnical and environmental challenges
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality control measures
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, proposals, and client presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in transportation engineering, structural analysis, or municipal infrastructure
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and civil engineering software
- Demonstrated project management experience with budgets exceeding $5M
- Strong understanding of ADA, OSHA, and local building codes
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to technical and non-technical stakeholders
