Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and structural assessments using industry-standard software
- Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling using MS Project and Primavera P6
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations including TxDOT and FEMA standards
- Manage client relationships and coordinate with contractors, architects, and government agencies
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews of technical deliverables
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering with emphasis on transportation or structural design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software (SAP2000, STAAD.Pro)
- Demonstrated experience managing projects over $5M with successful delivery records
- Strong knowledge of local codes (Houston Building Code, TCEQ regulations)
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
