Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including transportation networks and public utilities
- Oversee site investigations, geotechnical analysis, and construction phase documentation
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation using advanced BIM tools
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT regulations, FEMA guidelines, and ADA standards
- Coordinate with government agencies, contractors, and stakeholders for seamless project delivery
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews for design excellence
- Implement sustainable engineering practices for LEED certification compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with PE license required (Texas)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure and transportation design
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, GIS mapping, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated success managing projects exceeding $50M in value
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and local permitting processes
- Certification in LEED AP or similar sustainability credential preferred
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts
- Experience with stormwater management and flood mitigation systems
