Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water systems
- Perform site analysis, hydraulic modeling, and structural calculations using industry-standard software
- Coordinate with municipal agencies for permitting and regulatory compliance (TCEQ, FHWA)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources while maintaining quality standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews to ensure technical accuracy
- Develop construction documentation including plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Implement sustainable design practices and LEED certification requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley OpenRoads, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing $5M+ transportation or water resource projects
- Deep knowledge of TxDOT standards, FEMA floodplain requirements, and ADA compliance
- Strong leadership abilities with experience directing cross-functional teams
- Professional certification (e.g., LEED AP, PMP) highly desirable
