Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and water treatment facilities
- Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and compliance analysis for municipal and private clients
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of engineers, technicians, and contractors to ensure project delivery on schedule and budget
- Develop detailed construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM technologies
- Ensure regulatory compliance with city, state, and federal engineering standards and safety protocols
- Present technical reports and project updates to stakeholders and municipal authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil engineering with focus on urban infrastructure
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in civil design software including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS applications
- Demonstrated success managing projects over $50M with complex permitting requirements
- Strong knowledge of Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and Chicago Building codes
- Excellent project management skills with PMP certification or equivalent experience
