Responsibilities
- Design and oversee structural systems for commercial and municipal infrastructure projects
- Lead project teams from conception through completion, ensuring compliance with NYC Building Codes
- Conduct site inspections and resolve complex engineering challenges in real-time
- Develop cost-effective solutions balancing technical requirements with budget constraints
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government agencies during project lifecycle
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews
- Prepare technical documentation including reports, plans, and specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience
- PE license in New York State or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects
- Deep knowledge of NYC building codes and construction regulations
- Strong leadership skills with proven team management experience
- LEED AP certification highly desirable
