Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary teams of architects, environmental specialists, and construction managers
- Develop detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM modeling software
- Ensure compliance with TxDOT regulations, FEMA floodplain requirements, and local zoning ordinances
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical analyses, and constructability reviews
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications
- Implement sustainable design practices and LEED certification strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design and project management
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record leading projects exceeding $50M in construction value
- Deep knowledge of Texas engineering codes, TxDOT standards, and FEMA guidelines
- Strong analytical skills for complex geotechnical and structural analysis
- Excellent client relationship management and proposal development abilities
- Certification in LEED AP or sustainable infrastructure preferred
