Responsibilities
- Lead the design and analysis of complex civil engineering projects, including structural systems and site layouts.
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initial concept through to construction completion, ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct site visits and supervise construction activities, providing technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.
- Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Prepare cost estimates, tender documents, and feasibility studies in collaboration with project managers and clients.
- Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, environmental regulations, and company quality assurance protocols.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in civil engineering, preferably within the UK construction sector.
- Master’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (MEng or BEng accredited).
- Chartered status (MICE or FICE) or working towards chartership.
- Proficient in advanced CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools (Tekla, SAP2000).
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations (Part L) and Health & Safety legislation (NEBOSH desirable).
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in high-pressure environments.
