Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis for large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural calculations using industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SAP2000)
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies (TxDOT, FEMA, USACE)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for concurrent deliverables
- Develop construction documentation and specifications ensuring compliance with IBC and local codes
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality reviews for technical deliverables
- Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies for new development projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- PE license (Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in transportation engineering or structural analysis
- Proficiency with BIM/CAD tools and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven project management experience with complex multi-million dollar projects
- Strong communication skills with ability to present to clients and stakeholders
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain
