Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of complex civil engineering projects including bridges, tunnels, and transit systems
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation using industry-standard software
- Ensure compliance with NYC Building Code, MTA regulations, and FEMA guidelines
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and government agencies during all project phases
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
- PE license in New York State
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record of managing projects exceeding $50M
- Strong knowledge of NYC infrastructure regulations and permitting processes
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
