Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, SAP2000)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multi-phase developments
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations (ILDOT, OSHA)
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical assessments, and feasibility studies
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with architects, contractors, and government agencies
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with infrastructure projects
- PE license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in structural design, hydraulic modeling, and construction management
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and project management software
- Strong understanding of ADA, AASHTO, and Chicago Building Code requirements
- Proven track record leading projects >$50M with successful delivery
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and public presentations
