Responsibilities
- Lead design and construction oversight for large-scale infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Develop innovative stormwater management systems aligned with FEMA and EPA standards
- Perform structural analysis using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit BIM technologies
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with TxDOT and city regulations
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental specialists and construction managers
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, permits, and construction documentation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct site inspections to ensure quality standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation or water resources engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards, FEMA floodplain requirements, and local permitting processes
- Demonstrated project management experience with budgets exceeding $5M
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and public presentations
- Certification in LEED or sustainable infrastructure practices preferred
