Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, transit systems, and water management facilities
- Develop detailed engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and BIM modeling software
- Conduct site investigations, soil analysis, and feasibility studies for new developments
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for multiple concurrent projects
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering standards and regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews of technical documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, government agencies, and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven experience with infrastructure projects in urban environments
- Strong knowledge of local building codes, ADA compliance, and sustainability standards
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail and precision
- Excellent project management and client communication abilities
