Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of transportation infrastructure systems (roads, bridges, transit)
- Lead hydraulic modeling for stormwater management and flood control projects
- Coordinate with municipal agencies for permitting and compliance (IDOT, EPA, Chicago DOT)
- Mentor junior engineers and manage project deliverables within budget constraints
- Conduct site investigations and geotechnical analysis for foundation design
- Develop construction documentation and specifications using BIM/CIM standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or water resources
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, and GIS platforms
- Track record leading projects >$50M with complex permitting requirements
- Strong understanding of AASHTO, IDOT, and Chicago municipal codes
- LEED AP certification preferred
- Experience with public-private partnership (P3) project delivery
