Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and implementation of civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Conduct feasibility studies and site analysis using GIS, BIM, and advanced modeling tools
- Develop comprehensive construction plans, cost estimates, and regulatory compliance documentation
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including architects, environmental specialists, and contractors
- Ensure adherence to ASCE standards, local ordinances, and sustainability frameworks
- Mentor junior engineers and implement continuous improvement processes
- Oversee project lifecycle from conceptual design through to final inspection
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PE license required
- Minimum 8 years of progressive civil engineering experience with large-scale projects
- Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software
- Proven track record in managing $10M+ infrastructure projects
- Deep knowledge of Illinois DOT regulations and municipal permitting processes
- Certification in LEED or Envision sustainable infrastructure preferred
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for complex urban engineering challenges
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience directing cross-functional teams
