Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of large-scale infrastructure projects including bridges, highways, and municipal systems
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and client communications
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Develop sustainable engineering solutions using BIM and CAD technologies
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and government agencies
- Prepare technical reports, permits, and construction documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and structural analysis software
- Demonstrated success leading complex transportation projects
- Strong knowledge of Illinois DOT and municipal codes
- Excellent project management and client relationship skills
- Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification
