Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, and transit systems
- Conduct advanced structural analysis and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and cross-functional teams of engineers and contractors
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (DOT, FEMA, OSHA)
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
- Prepare technical documentation including construction drawings, specifications, and reports
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous innovation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in transportation or municipal infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Demonstrated expertise in complex structural design and geotechnical analysis
- Strong project management skills with PMP certification preferred
- Experience with public-private partnership (P3) project delivery
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and client presentations
