Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects (bridges, transit systems, water treatment facilities)
- Perform advanced structural analysis and hydraulic modeling using industry-standard software
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and compliance with local/state regulations
- Coordinate with architects, environmental consultants, and government agencies
- Develop sustainable design solutions incorporating green infrastructure principles
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of technical deliverables
- Prepare detailed engineering reports, permit applications, and construction documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure project delivery
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois
- Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, and hydraulic modeling software
- Proven track record of managing projects over $50M in value
- Deep knowledge of ADA, OSHA, and Chicago Building Code requirements
- Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring engineering teams
- LEED AP certification highly desirable
