Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end design and execution of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, Bentley OpenRail)
- Develop comprehensive project plans with cost estimates, schedules, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, TxDOT, and local municipal regulations
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews of technical documentation
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including environmental specialists and government agencies
- Implement sustainable design practices targeting LEED certification
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Master's preferred) from ABET-accredited institution
- Minimum 8 years progressive experience in civil infrastructure design
- Active PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS, SWMM) and geotechnical analysis
- Proven track record managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM modeling and construction documentation standards
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD)
- Certification in sustainable infrastructure (Envision, LEED AP) preferred
