Role Overview:
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the technical leadership and management of major civil engineering projects. You will bridge the gap between theoretical design and practical application, ensuring our visions are executed with precision and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, analysis, and development of civil infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, drainage, and site grading.
- Manage site supervision, ensuring all construction activities adhere to the approved designs, building regulations, and quality standards.
- Conduct structural reviews, risk assessments, and feasibility studies to optimize project performance.
- Prepare and review complex technical drawings, specifications, and tender documentation using AutoCAD, Revit, and Civil 3D.
- Coordinate effectively with architects, planners, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration.
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations (HSE) and environmental legislation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor junior engineers and graduate staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (MEng) or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Chartered status (ICE) is strongly preferred for this senior-level position.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in civil engineering within the UK construction market.
- Extensive knowledge of UK Building Regulations, Eurocodes, and British Standards.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and structural analysis tools.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
