Responsibilities
- Lead design and execution of large-scale civil engineering projects including highways, bridges, and drainage systems
- Perform advanced structural analysis using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit)
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation for complex infrastructure initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (TCEQ, FHWA) and sustainability standards (LEED)
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with cross-functional teams (architects, environmental scientists)
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments for new developments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in municipal infrastructure projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Proficiency in BIM/CIM technologies and hydraulic modeling software (HEC-RAS)
- Demonstrated success managing projects exceeding $10M in value
- Strong knowledge of TxDOT standards and FEMA floodplain requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to optimize designs for cost and sustainability
