We're seeking a visionary Senior Civil Engineer to spearhead the design and execution of large-scale infrastructure developments, including transportation corridors, sustainable drainage systems, and resilient public spaces. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that balance technical excellence with environmental stewardship and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for municipal infrastructure projects ($5M+ budget)
- Design and optimize transportation networks, hydraulic systems, and structural foundations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit
- Perform advanced hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) and geotechnical analysis for complex site conditions
- Manage client relationships and regulatory compliance with TxDOT, FEMA, and local municipalities
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct constructability reviews during design phase
- Develop sustainable design solutions targeting LEED Silver certification
- Coordinate with contractors during construction phase to resolve technical issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in municipal infrastructure design
- PE license in Texas (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expert proficiency in Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and Bentley OpenRoads
- Proven track record with FEMA floodplain mapping and TxDOT permitting
- Certification in Sustainable Infrastructure (ENV SP) or equivalent
- Experience leading projects in coastal resilience or flood mitigation
- Strong analytical skills with complex problem-solving abilities
