Responsibilities
- Design and oversee implementation of complex civil engineering projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D and BIM software
- Conduct site investigations, soil analysis, and feasibility studies for infrastructure development
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in planning, budgeting, and executing large-scale construction projects
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal engineering regulations and safety standards
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct quality control reviews of technical deliverables
- Develop sustainable design solutions for urban infrastructure challenges
- Manage client relationships and project stakeholders through all project phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited institution (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering design and project management
- PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Expertise in hydraulic modeling (HEC-RAS) and structural analysis software (STAAD.Pro)
- Proven track record leading transportation or water resource projects >$10M
- Strong knowledge of FEMA floodplain mapping and TCEQ regulations
- LEED AP certification or equivalent sustainability credentials
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to present technical concepts to diverse audiences
