Join one of the world's leading cardiac research and clinical centers. Apex Medical Excellence Center is seeking a visionary Senior Cardiovascular Surgeon to lead our surgical department and drive innovation in minimally invasive heart procedures.
As a key member of our surgical faculty, you will work alongside pioneers in the field, utilizing state-of-the-art robotic technology to deliver life-saving care to a diverse patient population.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary team briefings and surgical rounds to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Mentor junior residents and fellows in surgical techniques and evidence-based practice.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and contribute to peer-reviewed medical publications.
- Maintain compliance with all JCAHO and hospital-specific safety and quality standards.
- Develop and implement new clinical protocols to enhance surgical efficiency and patient recovery.
- Coordinate with cardiology and critical care departments for seamless pre- and post-operative patient management.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical License in the State of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Minimum of 8 years of post-residency experience in cardiovascular surgery.
- Demonstrated proficiency in robotic-assisted surgical platforms.
- Proven track record of clinical research and leadership within a tertiary care setting.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
