Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiovascular procedures, including CABG, valve repairs, and aortic surgery.
- Lead multidisciplinary team meetings to determine optimal patient treatment plans.
- Mentor junior surgeons, residents, and fellows in surgical techniques and patient care.
- Participate in clinical research trials and drive improvements in surgical protocols.
- Maintain impeccable documentation and compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with cardiology and critical care departments to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Represent the hospital at national medical conferences and symposiums.
Qualifications
- Board Certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Medical License in the State of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain).
- Minimum of 7-10 years of post-residency clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery.
- Demonstrated expertise in minimally invasive surgical techniques.
- Proven record of academic contributions and peer-reviewed publications.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage high-pressure surgical environments.
- Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and clinical staff.
