As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and evidence-based protocols to manage complex cardiac conditions in a high-acuity environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients with acute cardiovascular conditions.
- Monitor and interpret EKG readings, hemodynamic parameters, and laboratory results.
- Administer cardiac medications and manage complex intravenous infusions according to provider orders.
- Educate patients and family members regarding heart health, post-operative care, and medication management.
- Collaborate effectively with cardiologists, surgeons, and the broader clinical team to optimize care plans.
- Maintain precise electronic health records (EHR) to ensure compliance and continuity of care.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and nursing education programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a cardiac unit, ICU, or telemetry setting.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac rhythms and intervention techniques.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to act decisively in high-pressure situations.
