Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess hemodynamics for high-acuity cardiovascular patients.
- Manage complex medication regimens and titrate intravenous drips as prescribed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including surgeons and intensivists, to develop patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and long-term cardiac health.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
- Maintain precise documentation in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Provide clinical mentorship to junior nursing staff and nursing students.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in an ICU, CVICU, or Cardiac Step-down unit.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PCCN or CCRN certification.
- Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to communicate complex medical information to patients and families with empathy.
- Proficiency in modern EHR platforms and cardiac monitoring technology.
