Responsibilities
- Manage complex cardiovascular patient cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform diagnostic assessments and interpret cardiac monitoring data to inform clinical decisions.
- Assist in perioperative care protocols for patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary cardiac team.
- Educate patients and their families on heart disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.
- Maintain precise electronic health records ensuring compliance with HIPAA and institutional standards.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and departmental quality improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Current State of Massachusetts Nurse Practitioner license (or ability to obtain).
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in cardiology or critical care.
- Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) strongly preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, preferably Epic.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification.
