Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Interpret complex diagnostic tests, including EKGs, echocardiograms, and cardiac stress tests.
- Collaborate closely with cardiologists and cardiothoracic surgeons to develop individualized care plans.
- Manage post-operative recovery for patients following cardiac surgical interventions.
- Provide comprehensive patient education regarding heart health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Lead multidisciplinary clinical rounds to ensure high standards of patient safety and care quality.
- Document clinical encounters accurately within our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Qualifications
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited program.
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Minnesota.
- Board Certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a cardiac or critical care setting.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS certification preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex hemodynamic data.
- Exceptional communication skills and a commitment to collaborative, team-based care.
