Responsibilities
- Lead clinical assessments for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Develop and implement comprehensive, evidence-based care plans in collaboration with cardiologists.
- Perform bedside procedures including arterial line insertion and chest tube management.
- Educate patients and their families on heart-healthy lifestyle modifications and medication adherence.
- Act as a primary liaison between the interventional cardiology team and nursing staff.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to optimize clinical workflows and patient safety protocols.
- Contribute to clinical research initiatives and departmental process improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP).
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an inpatient cardiac care setting (ICU/CCU).
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Proven ability to perform autonomous diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on evidence-based practice.
