Responsibilities
- Manage complex cardiac patient cases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform comprehensive cardiac assessments, diagnostic testing interpretation, and treatment plan adjustments.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes post-cardiac surgery.
- Educate patients and families on long-term heart health, medication management, and lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain precise electronic health records in accordance with institutional protocols.
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives within the Cardiovascular Department.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Minnesota.
- Board certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a cardiac or critical care environment.
- BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure clinical environment.
