Responsibilities
- Manage complex cardiovascular patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations, including EKG interpretation and stress test assessments.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based care plans.
- Participate in rounds and provide pre- and post-operative education to patients and families.
- Order and interpret laboratory, radiologic, and diagnostic tests with precision.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic medical records in compliance with hospital standards.
- Mentor junior nursing staff and contribute to clinical research initiatives within the department.
Qualifications
- Current MA State License as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN) or DNP from an accredited program.
- Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in Cardiology or Cardiothoracic surgery.
- Board Certification in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care (AGACNP-BC) preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to function effectively in high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative patient care.
