Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft complex legal documents, including memos, briefs, contracts, and closing agreements.
- Advise senior partners and clients on corporate governance, contract negotiation, and regulatory compliance matters.
- Manage the full lifecycle of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) deals, including due diligence, document review, and closing coordination.
- Represent the firm in court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution forums as needed.
- Mentor junior associates and legal staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in New York State and in good standing with the bar association.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate law, transactional work, or a related legal field.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale deals and litigation matters.
- Exceptional analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong proficiency in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and case management software.
