Responsibilities
- Lead design development from concept to construction documentation using Revit and AutoCAD
- Manage client relationships and project timelines for medium to large-scale projects
- Conduct site analysis, code compliance reviews, and material specification research
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and interior design teams for integrated solutions
- Mentor junior designers and conduct quality assurance reviews
- Present design proposals to clients and stakeholders with compelling visual narratives
- Stay current with BIM technologies and sustainable design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited institution
- 8+ years of progressive experience in architectural design
- LEED AP BD+C certification preferred
- Expert proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative design solutions and technical execution
- Illinois architectural license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Experience with Chicago zoning ordinances and building codes
- Proven track record of leading projects through all design phases
