Responsibilities
- Lead design development and documentation for mixed-use and commercial projects
- Manage client relationships and project teams from concept through construction
- Ensure compliance with building codes, ADA standards, and sustainability protocols
- Coordinate with structural, MEP, and landscape consultants
- Present designs to clients, municipal authorities, and review boards
- Mentor junior architects and interns
- Research and implement innovative materials and construction techniques
Qualifications
- Professional Architecture License (NCARB required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in commercial/residential architecture
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong portfolio demonstrating complex project delivery
- LEED AP or WELL AP certification preferred
- Experience with Chicago zoning and permitting processes
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams
