Responsibilities
- Develop and validate complex pricing models and reserving methodologies.
- Analyze historical loss data to forecast future trends and identify emerging risks.
- Collaborate with the underwriting team to refine product offerings and pricing structures.
- Prepare regulatory reports and present actuarial findings to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Conduct sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of market volatility on portfolio performance.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the technical development of the actuarial department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in actuarial analysis, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Completed at least 5 SOA/CAS exams (ASA, FSA, or equivalent designation preferred).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, or SAS.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical audiences.
