Responsibilities
- Oversee the full cycle of monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare complex financial statements, reconciliations, and variance analyses for executive leadership review.
- Ensure strict adherence to internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory compliance (GAAP/IFRS).
- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and prepayments, with high attention to detail.
- Lead and support external audit requirements, coordinating with auditors and preparing necessary schedules.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and provide guidance on complex accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, preferably within a financial services or consulting environment.
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial regulatory standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
