Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow statements, in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, driving efficiency and accuracy within the finance department.
- Manage tax compliance requirements, ensuring all statutory filings are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making and budget planning.
- Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a corporate environment.
- Strong working knowledge of UK tax legislation and financial regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred).
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present it clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing a small team effectively.
