Responsibilities
- Manage general ledger accounting and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow) in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and assist in tax filings.
- Lead and support external and internal audit processes, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Review and approve expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for management review.
- Maintain accurate fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree or CPA/CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, preferably within a fast-paced financial environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong understanding of US GAAP, tax laws, and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
