Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including variance analysis and reconciliation of accounts.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior accountants and financial analysts.
- Assist external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual statutory audits.
- Streamline accounting processes and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Prepare and analyze budget versus actuals reports to support executive decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, preferably within a corporate environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
