Responsibilities
- Lead complex underwriting assessments for commercial and specialty insurance products
- Develop risk mitigation strategies aligned with emerging market trends and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain high-value client relationships through consultative risk advisory
- Mentor junior underwriters while optimizing team performance metrics
- Drive digital transformation initiatives in underwriting processes and analytics
- Collaborate with actuarial teams to refine pricing models and product offerings
- Represent the company at industry forums and regulatory consultations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive underwriting experience with commercial/specialty lines
- Professional designation (CPCU, ARM, or equivalent) or willingness to pursue
- Advanced proficiency in underwriting software (e.g., Duck Creek, Guidewire)
- Demonstrated success in managing portfolios exceeding SGD 50M in premium
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex financial and risk data
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English and Mandarin (advantageous)
