Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and analyze complex financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and P&L, providing actionable insights to senior management.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate, reconciled, and supported by proper documentation.
- Ensure full compliance with UK tax legislation, VAT regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with external auditors and internal stakeholders to streamline financial audits and processes.
- Assist in the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
Qualifications
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior accounting role within the UK finance sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and corporate reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
