Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on legal, regulatory, and industry-specific topics to support corporate initiatives.
- Analyze complex data sets and documents to identify risks, opportunities, and relevant legal precedents.
- Prepare high-quality reports, summaries, and briefs for management and legal counsel.
- Maintain and update centralized databases, ensuring all records are kept confidential and organized.
- Monitor legislative changes and industry trends that impact SMC’s business operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to provide research-backed support for special projects and due diligence.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and data privacy standards in all research activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Management, Political Science, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in research, legal analysis, or compliance-related roles.
- Strong understanding of Philippine laws, regulatory frameworks, and corporate governance practices.
- Exceptional proficiency in written and verbal communication, with the ability to distill complex information into clear insights.
- Advanced computer literacy, particularly in MS Office Suite and legal research software/databases.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines.
- High degree of integrity and commitment to maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive corporate data.
