Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry monitors to detect arrhythmias and hemodynamic changes.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols and physician orders.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical notes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of New York.
- BLS and ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a telemetry or critical care setting.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care standards.
